STEPPER is-
a visual art duo based in Korea, composed of siblings who explore various forms of image-making through painting, silkscreen, and digital drawing. Each piece reflects a collaborative yet distinct artistic voice — where one’s free-spirited sense of form meets the other’s cinematic, painterly lens. Our works are driven by ordinary emotions and fleeting thoughts. Rather than seeking grand narratives, we aim to highlight the poetic value hidden in the everyday — transforming simple fragments into meaningful visual stories. We believe art is not about discovering something new under the sun, but about seeing the familiar with new eyes and giving it renewed resonance. By collecting, rearranging, and reconstructing moments, we create a visual frame where memories, emotions, and phenomena are intricately connected. Our works often embrace symbolic elements, abstraction, and a structured sense of form, aiming to tell our stories in the most genuine way — slowly, intentionally, and honestly. In this process, we become both the creators and observers of our own visual frames.
